Delhi NCR pollution: Odd-even rule in Delhi from November 13-20 amid worsening air pollution

Delhi's air quality has plunged to 'severe' levels, with AQI crossing 450 which is 7-8 times the safe limit.

The toxic haze over Delhi-NCR has persisted for over a week, enveloping the region in hazardous pollution.

The major factors causing the spike in pollution are vehicular emissions, construction dust, stubble burning and adverse weather conditions.

To curb pollution, Delhi govt has implemented the odd-even vehicle rule from Nov 13-20.

Under odd-even, private vehicles with odd/even numbered license plates can operate only on alternate days.

Schools in Delhi will remain closed from Nov 13-20, except for Class 10 and 12, due to the pollution crisis.

Doctors have warned increased health risks, especially for people with asthma, bronchitis and other respiratory issues due to prolonged exposure to severe pollution.
